Fudoshin Judo Club will be hosting a trial class for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind on March 3, 1300-1500. We will be introducing a number of  visually-impaired individuals to the fundamentals of Judo. As such, we will need ukes for them to train with; preferably ukes with enough experience to both be comfortable getting thrown by amateurs and to aid in explaining Judo mechanics to people who cannot rely on their eyesight. Expect to get a bit of ukemi practice and expect to adapt to unfamiliar training needs.

If you wish to take part in the session, please let me know. The CNIB cannot yet confirm how many people will be showing up, so I don't know how many ukes we will actually need. There's no pressure to attend if you can't make the time, but any help will be appreciated. If we have too many Ukes participating we'll figure it out. Mat time is mat time, but getting the VI athletes introduced to Judo is the priority of the day.

This will be a very basic class for most of you, but it's also a good opportunity to hone your coaching skills and a great opportunity to grow the NL Judo community.
